About Byeol

Byeol is the English-language home for Korean Saju, Gunghap, Samjae, and traditional Talisman.

Korean fortune culture — built around Saju, Gunghap, and Samjae — is one of the most internally consistent cosmological traditions in East Asia. But serious, English-language resources for these practices are nearly nonexistent.

Byeol is an attempt to change that — digitizing traditional Korean methods as faithfully as possible, in English, for anyone curious about Korean destiny culture.

What Byeol is built around

Our approach

We follow traditional Korean texts — Saju (四柱), the Twelve Earthly Branches, and the Five Elements — as closely as possible. We don't invent interpretations. We don't judge right or wrong. We digitize what has been passed down. Other tools like dream interpretation and zodiac exist for exploration, but they are supplements, not the core.

Why this exists

Byeol is built by one person — fascinated by Korean fortune culture, and frustrated that almost nothing serious existed in English for Saju, Gunghap, or traditional Korean practices. This is not a startup. It's a focused resource, built to last.

How Byeol is supported

Core readings — Saju, Gunghap, Samjae — have no paywall. Byeol is supported by ads and voluntary Buy Me a Coffee contributions.
